History of the Colonnade Inn
The Colonnade Inn was built around 1883 as a summer hotel in Sea Isle City,
New Jersey. The Hotel was one of many that served the throngs of summer visitors
from Philadelphia who flocked to Sea Isle City every summer to escape the heat of
the city.
The Colonnade Inn is the last surviving hotel from that era. It is a Victorian
masterpiece in the heart of Sea Isle City, NJ that has not only survived many coastal storms but also the wrecking
ball of progress.
The Hotel was purchased in 1943 by the Dorsem family. The
Dorsem's ran the hotel until 1992 when it was purchased by Dr. Carolyn Crawford and converted into a bed and breakfast.
In 2004, the Colonnade Inn was purchased by the Colonnade Investment Group. They loving restored the building
to its former splendor. Today the Colonnade is a glimpse into the past of not only Sea Isle City
but of most shore towns of the Jersey Coast.
The Colonnade Inn Today
The Colonnade Inn is an old Victorian style building that is located 1 block from the beach and boardwalk in Sea Isle City, NJ. The exterior of the hotel features a large wrap around porch which is perfect for sitting, reading or just enjoying the wonderful ocean breeze.
The interior of the building boasts beautiful woodwork, antique furniture and a charming atmosphere. There is an elegant and spacious common area where coffee and baked goods are offered each morning in season. A big screen TV ( a must for Sunday football) is also in the lobby.
The hotel features units that range from 1 room units to 3 bedroom suites. Many of the Colonnade units also feature Jacuzzi tubs and gas fireplaces. The Colonnade Inn is a full service hotel. All of our units have a private bathroom, and all linens are supplied by us. Maid service is provided each morning. Each unit has wireless internet, cable TV, air conditioning and heating.
The Colonnade is open year round and has pricing, packages and specials for each season.

General Rental Policies
We require an advance deposit in the amount of the first night's stay for each reservation. The deposit must be in the form of a check or money order. (If making a reservation less than 14 days before arrival, please ask about deposit types.)
Payment at check in time must be by credit card or cash.(Checks will not be accepted at time of check in.) All balances are due at check in time, and all room rates are subject to a 12% tax. No refunds are permitted. The management is not responsible for inclement weather. Please mention any gift certificates you will be using when you book your reservation.
Cancellations: We require two full weeks notice for all cancellations.
Reservations may be cancelled up to 14 days before arrival with a $20.00 Cancellation fee. Reservations that are cancelled less than 14 days before arrival forfeit the deposit.
Check-in time is 2:00 PM weekdays, and 3:00 PM weekends. If you will arrive later than 9:00 PM, please notify the Front Desk. Check-out time is 11:00 am.
Smoking is not permitted at any time within the Colonnade. Smoking is permitted
on the porches and ashtrays will be provided. If you do chose to smoke in the common
areas outside the house, please be aware of the other guests. By order of the fire
marshal, lit candles are not allowed in any of the guest rooms. Any guest who smokes
or uses lit candles within the inn will be asked to leave immediately. No
refunds will be provided.
Pets are not permitted at the Colonnade Inn.
